Big boy

So we are 2 nights into Porter sleeping in a big boy bed and he is doing awesome. He is transitioning like a champ. It took a while for him to get to sleep the first night but tonight he fell right asleep (they may be due in part to the fact that we had a super busy and fun filled day). We are so proud Porter. And we certainly picked the right transition bed. You can't go wrong with Cars where Porter is concerned.

Tivoli Festivals

We went to the Tivoli Festival in Elk Horn and Kimballton. It is a celebration of the Danish that settled there. It was good, but if Porter could be truly honest I think he would say the stairs on Main Street were cooler than the giant old school windmill. Two year olds sigh.

Oh and Yeah we went to Kimballton cuz Kimble is such a cool name.

Boy, Grandparents are fun!

Grandma & Grandpa Partelow visit Iowa

Grandpa Dave and Grandma Lisa came to Iowa to visit and celebrate my birthday. I had such a good time playing with them and showing them all of my cool toys. They bought me a t-ball set that I love and am pretty good at. They also brought me a lot of other cool things like cars (my favorite), stickers and a Lightning McQueen drinking cup. Great Grandma Rose sent a lot of cool books packed in a Lightning McQueen bag. I loved all of the gifts and happily welcome them. Thanks Grandparents for coming to see me. I will miss you.

Porter with a cold

Port wasn't feeling well last weekend so we relaxed in the tent and watched Toy Story for the first time. He is now a fan of Buzz. And a huge fan of popcorn, just like his parents.

Porter & Papa Blue Eyes

When asked what he wanted for his birthday, Porter would reply "Porter movie watch Cars Papa," which meant that he wanted to watch the movie Cars with Papa on his birthday. So for his birthday he got the movie Cars and got to watch a little with Papa.

Pump it Up birthday fun.

Porter got to go to Pump it Up Urbandale on his birthday. Grandma Shirley came too and Porter even talked her into getting in the inflatable to play. He loved it and had a great time. He played like a true 2 year old.

Porter is 2!

Porter's favorite thing these days is Lightning McQueen from Cars. Chris and I made Porter a Cars cake (well I baked & Chris decorated) and he thought it was amazing. We also kept with Kimble tradition and decorated Porter's bedroom door with paper so he had to bust through paper on his birthday morning. We all had a great day and our 2 year old loves all of his new toys and clothes.

Happy 80th Birthday Great-Grandma Pat!

Quincy

We all had a good time in Quincy, celebrating Grandma Pat's 80th birthday and Mother's Day. Porter loved seeing Great Grandma, playing with his cousins and feeding the animals at the Veterans Hospital. We all had a fun and busy weekend.

Jester Park

What an absolutely beautiful day and park. Porter had so much fun at this park and was so happy Grandma & Grandpa Kimble came. He is, for sure, an outdoorsy boy.
