And the Best News

Porter is doing a lot peeing in the potty these days. Remarkable, actually. I am crossing my fingers he continues. We are being diligent and he is catching on. He especially likes the Lightning McQueen pull-ups and is trying really hard to keep them dry.

No more PINK!

Chris painted the pink guest bedroom to a nice gray/green. It looks awesome. And this red loveseat is one of the pieces we just bought for the living room. we DID NOT buy the pillows though.

Painting Porter.

Porter loves painting pictures. He also loves wood cars you can paint. The car turned out quite nicely.

"Rain? I don't care about no stinkin' rain."

Porter and Dad went to the park despite the mean clouds rolling in. Once the clouds started dumping on us, Porter said he didn't care as Dad stood in the shelter and got completely drenched. He was very happy sliding in the rain.

We have had A busy few weeks. Went to Colorado and saw all of the Kimble's and Grandma Pat. Porter had a great time and so did we. He loves his cousins. And then we moved. Busy, busy, busy. Things are starting to settle down and we are loving our new house.

Fireworks 2010

None of these photos are great but I had to post some of Porter loving the fireworks. Chris and I didn't know how he would react considering they were shooting them off so close to home, but he LOVED them. He was so brave and truly enjoyed watching them. He kept saying, "whoa, do you see dat?" It was awesome. Urbandale can sure put on a fireworks show.

4th of July water balloons

We had rain all day on the 4th so we played out in it and threw water balloons. Porter and Soda had a great deal of fun playing with them. It was a nice day of rain but a bit of a bummer when they canceled the fireworks. We will watch them on the 5th.

we went to the great Urbandale Independence Day parade. Porter liked picking up candy that was tossed to him, waving at people and dancing.

Tower Park Wading Pool

Porter really loves the water. Thank goodness there are a lot of free wading pools here in Des Moines. And we have one just down the street from our new house.
