porter mod

Iowa Historical Museum

Porter and I went to the Iowa Historical Museum today. He thought everything was neat. He really liked the Mammoth (Porter's convinced it is an Elephant), and the poster people. He thought it funny that they wouldn't talk back to him. He even got to see Oscar the Grouch.

More photos of our day with trains

Thomas, Finally.

We have been listening to Porter talk about going to see Thomas everyday for over a month. We finally went. Porter was excited. He saw Thomas, met Sir Tophim Hat, played in a maze, clibed on trains, ran on train tracks and even got to go on a trolley ride. It was a lot of fun, even if it was cold and rainy. Grandma Shirley came with us which made it that much more fun and special.

Ready for Monday Night Football

Grandma and Grandpa from KC sent Porter his first KC Chiefs football jersey. Him and daddy are looking forward to Monday night.

Boone's Pufferbilly Days

A Saturday with trains makes for an excellent day.

Bye-bye Uncle Alex

Uncle Alex went back to Abu Dhabi this week. Before he left he gave Porter a soccer goal which is his new favorite toy and obsession. He is quite good at kicking goals and dribbling the ball. Thank you Uncle Alex. Wish you were here to kick the ball around with him.

NO TOUCH CHOCOLATE PUDDING! NO!

I made Porter some pudding so we could have some fun playing with food and doing a little food art. He flat out refused to look at the pudding, touch it or come in the dining where it was located. He did not want to get messy and does not like chocolate. After much coaxing he agreed to play with it if I gave him a paintbrush. We settled on a basting brush and he enjoyed it as long as it did not touch his hand. What kid doesn't like pudding?

Porter loves going to the Mall

Merle Hay Mall may be old and run down but it is Porter's favorite mall because it has a playground, a library with computers that he can actually play on and cars he can ride. He even likes the New York Style pizza place in the food court.
