Blank Park Zoo is awesome.

The Coy Fish are always fun at the zoo.

Llama Llama, No way Mama

Porter was okay with feeding the goats but that Mama Llama was too much. He fed it once and that was enough. He wanted nothing to do with it. We do love the "Llama Llama" stories so I thought he would love it. Not so much.

He talks a big game

Porter said he wanted to feed the giraffes but when him and Grandma got up to teh giraffe Porter just threw the Snack at the animal. The nice zoo keeper allowed Porter to have another snack and he threw that one. I think he was a little intimidated by that tongue.

There is a funny story here

2 1/2 hours into the zoo Porter was getting tired. We were watching the Sea Lions show and he was very restless and told us he was done. When walking away from the Sea Lion show, Porter saw a boy sitting on the curb pouting. These pictures are Porter mocking the boy pouting. I think Porter felt his pain. It was so cute.

Not Thomas, but equally as cool.

Fish at the zoo

Porter really liked the fish at the zoo. He found Nemo, Nemo's daddy and Dory. He was quite excited.

Great Grandma Pat visits

Porter was very excited for Great Grandma Pat to visit. He got to show off his new house and all of toys. She brought him a book "Even Firemen Have to go Potty" that he really likes. We will miss you Grandma Pat. Thanks for visiting.

Holy big farm equipment

Yep, he loved this thing. Big surprise.

Iowa State Fair 2010 Part 2 Continued

The mist fountains were the highlight of a hot day. And, yes we saw the butter cow which was accompanied by a Dr. Suess themed butter statue. Porter wasn't very impressed. He did like the Star Wars figures made out of sand a lot. He was just so happy at the Fair. It makes me so excited for next year when he will be into even more.

Iowa State Fair 2010 Part 2

We went back to the Fair for a second time so that Porter could do some of the things he didn't get to do the first time. We are so happy we did it. He loved the piglets, calfs and especially the horses. He played on the little farm again (he would be the perfect farmer child); picking apples, riding the tractor, milking a cow, gathering chicken eggs and even planting seeds.

One more day at the pool

Porter likes to swim almost as much as he likes to drink the pool water. He likes to drink it and then say, "MMMmmmm, dat tastes good Mommy." Yuck.
